The cards will be produced by the special children at the centre. All proceeds collected from the sales of the cards will be used to fund the running of the Centre besides training its children to become productive. “We have a wonderful range of designs to choose from. The public may order the Christmas cards or other products by calling our centre at 088-223221, 088-247857 or 014- 6793221. The public may also visit us at our centre in Tanjung Aru. We’re open daily from 7.3Oam to 3pm - Monday to Friday,” said Seri Mengasih director Ngo York Kong. In a statement issued here yesterday, Ngo thanked Diriwan Corporation and Best Instant Sdn Bhd for donating a USA-made industrial blender to the centre, in support of its handicrafts centre. He said the industrial blender would help to produce at least double the amount of pulp paper than the existing blender. The pulp produced from recycling caper is being used as a base material to produce its hand-made greeting cards. Ngo also acknowledged that Diriwan has been an ardent supporter of charitable organizations in the State, including the Special Olympics Sabah.
Also present during the handing over of the industrial blender were Diriwan’s Assistant General Manager, Yu Yet Shan, its operations manager, Donny Kong, and Nicholas Wong, the Managing Director of Best Instant Sdn Bhd.
